Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge is one of Kenya's oldest and most iconic safari lodges. Located in the heart of Tsavo West National Park, the lodge is renowned for its spectacular views of the Chyulu Hills, frequent wildlife sightings at its natural waterhole, and, on clear days, views of Mount Kilimanjaro. It has welcomed safari travelers since the early years of Kenya's national parks and remains a premier destination for wildlife enthusiasts.

History

Kilaguni Serena is among the first safari lodges built inside a Kenyan national park. Constructed from volcanic stone and timber to blend with its surroundings, it has maintained a classic safari atmosphere while being modernized over the years with upgraded rooms, facilities, and renewable energy systems. Recently, it became Serena Hotels' first fully solar-powered lodge, reflecting a strong sustainability focus.
