Mara Leisure Camp is a safari tented camp located along the Talek River on the northern boundary of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya. It is positioned in a strategic wildlife area where several major game-viewing zones meet, making it a popular base for Maasai Mara safaris, including the Great Migration season. 

1. Location & Accessibility

Location

  • Along the Talek River, near Talek Gate, Maasai Mara National Reserve. 

  • The camp sits close to major wildlife areas, offering convenient access to game drives. 

Getting there

  • By road: Approximately 300 km from Nairobi, usually around 5 hours by road depending on conditions and stops. 

  • By air: Flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to nearby airstrips such as Ol Kiombo or Keekorok, followed by a transfer drive to the camp.
