Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Drive early morning towards the west from Kampala and have a stopover at the equator for photographs, Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. Have lunch en route at Igongo Cultural Center. A game drive in the evening may reward you with views of Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species such as Kobs and Waterbucks. Retire for dinner and overnight

Do game drive in the morning, afternoon Kazinga Channel launch cruise and drive through Katwe Explosion Crater on Chimpanzee and Wildlife Safari in Uganda;

An early morning game drive in this park provides excellent opportunities to encounter Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Topi and Bush bucks and many more. After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 60 resident species along the channel which are part of the greater 600 Species that are resident in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon returning from the boat activity, embark on the drive through the Katwe Crater field with amazing views of the Crater lakes and the Katwe salt lake where the enclave communities have made a fortune for centuries past. Explore their salt formation and extraction process. The Crater region is also a darling for elephants and olive baboons. Retire for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park and track chimpanzees in the afternoon on Chimpanzee and Wildlife Safari in Uganda;

After breakfast, embark on the transfer to Kibale National Park 157km about 3 hours’ drive passing along the impressive sights of the legendary Mountains of the moon – the Rwenzoris rising to 5,109m above sea level and amazing sights of Ndali Kasenda Crater field with magical views. You arrive in Kibale, settle for lunch after which you gather at the Kanyanchu Tourism Center for an amazing Chimpanzee trekking experience. You undertake 2 – 5 hour trek in the forest in search of the Common Chimpanzees. The trek exposes you to magical trees some of which are 200 years old and 55m tall, the range of primate Species including the Black and White Colobus Monkeys, the Blue Monkey, vervet Monkey, the Red tailed monkey before coming across the Chimpanzees and you spend with them full one hour taking photos, seeing them as they eat fruits, make pant hooting calls, copulate and mate, patrol, hunt and socialize. You return from the encounter connecting to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 4: Do Mpanga Tea Estate Cycling on Chimpanzee and Wildlife Safari in Uganda;

After breakfast, connect to Mpanga Tea Estates to embark on a cycling encounter through the Estates exploring the beautiful undulating landscape that is covered by green tea leaves. You ride along with the guide chatting with the estate staff where you can also disembark from bikes and participate in the tea plucking to have an experiential touch. You retreat from the activity and transfer back to Kampala, lunch stop in Mubende town and arrive in Kampala in the afternoon
